Blackeyebart has a lifetime interest in politics, economics, society and anthropology. He is interested in why societies and economies work, and why they don't. He is fascinated by leadership, both good and bad, and how theories warp and twist to reflect fashion and the changing interests of their proponents.

Blackeyebart is a conservative progressive. He opposes dramatic change, in favour of the incremental, but is in favour of moving towards societies that are inclusive and cooperative. He favours free (open) enterprise over private enterprise, and believes that a effective government is a prerequisite for economic growth.
